It has all of the usual equipment - power steering, sun roof, power windows, factory alarm, a/c, cruise control, etc. Nice options are sport leather seats and limited slip differential along with a transmission oil cooler. Stereo is an Alpine CD player with ADS speakers. Additionally it has a Lindsey racing boost enhancer and fuel pressure regulator. The exhaust is new as are the rear shocks and right front strut. A major service was done at 85,000 miles and the tires were also replaced then. The water pump was also done at some point before that. The timing belt and balance shaft belt were just checked and re-tensioned. The brake system was just flushed and the oil and filter were just changed as well. Morgan SP1 custom sports <b>car pictures</b> | Digital Trends Posted: 04 Sep 2014 10:15 AM PDT Most products of England's Morgan Motor Company are time capsules, with styling unchanged since the 1930s. Not this one. Unveiled at the Salon Prive show in London, the Morgan SP1 is the first car to come out of the company's Special Projects Division, which handles one-off builds for customers with very specific tastes. The SP1 looks like it was designed for someone who owns a lot of goggles and top hats. The combination of classic Morgan styling cues with modern touches like the butterfly doors, solid alloy wheels, and metallic multi-coat paint give its definite Steampunk vibe. It's the same story on the inside. Amid all of the handcrafted wood and leather trim are a set of toggle switches the driver must engage before starting the engine or, as Morgan puts it, "preparing for flight." When the driver is done pretending to be a neo-Victorian airship pilot, there's also an infotainment system centered on a dashboard-mounted iPad. Related: Morgan Plus 8 Speedster revealed Like all Morgans, the SP1′s bodywork is hand-formed over a wood frame, in this case made from ash and African Bubinga hardwood. The body is supported by a steel chassis. The SP1 is powered by a 3.7-liter Ford V6 that's also used in the Morgan V6 Roadster. Morgan didn't disclose output, but it did say the engine got special software tuning and a sports exhaust system for SP1 duty. While this particular car was built for an individual customer, it exemplifies what Morgan's Special Projects Division can do in the pursuit of uniqueness. Bespoke divisions are all the rage right now, as carmakers try to attract wealthier customers who have the cash for a one-off ride. In addition to Morgan's group, there's Q by Aston Martin, McLaren Special Operations (MSO), and Jaguar Land Rover Special Operations, which also oversees small-batch production cars like the F-Type Project 7.

At its heart, the 450kg RP1 has a unique carbon-composite tub based on the designs of contemporary race cars. The driver will sit 'feet up', allowing for greater underfloor downforce, which goes some way to explaining how the car achieves a quoted 200kg of downforce at 100mph. What’s powering the Elemental RP1? You can pick from any one of three engines to power your RP1. There is a tuned version of the 1.0-litre Ford Ecoboost engine, as well as a 2.0 version and a 999cc Honda Fireblade powerplant will be available, but only in a Superlight track-focussed model. All variants will be come with a Hewland six-speed sequential gearbox, which is the same gearbox you’ll find inside a Formula Three car. Additionally, a limited slip differential and an alternative gear set are available as options for customers who wish to race their Elemental RP1 on track. What will I find inside the RP1’s cockpit? You should expect the dash to be formed around the driver and the occupant, for a true race car feel. The dash display itself features an array of customisable options supported by GPS, data logging, G-load sensors, and a data feed straight from the RP1’s ECU, allowing the driver to monitor a whole host of variables within the powertrain. On the quick-release steering wheel, you’ll find backlit buttons for the indicators, main beam, horn, electronic gearshift paddles, and two unique switches for owners to select a function of their choosing (a bit like on BMW’s M button). Elemental is a new start-up company staffed by people from the motorsport arena. Which explains why drivers will be strapped into bespoke carbonfibre race seats via four-point racing harnesses. Removable seat pads will - along with adjustable pedals â€" free up enough space to fit drivers up to 6ft 6in in height, making the RP1 unique in its class, according to Elemental. When can I buy an Elemental RP1? Elemental is planning to roll out a limited number of GT Cup-spec race cars for the 2015 season before road car production is slated to start by early summer 2015. Prices are still yet to be confirmed but Elemental promises they will be competitive with its track-day rivals. Here is the documented history as I know it from the documents that came with the car and are in the photos. Serial # 9111102397 was purchased by mrs. Carole ernst ( a nurse from baltimore ) on 8/17/71 from forty west porsche audi in catonsville maryland. Thats right, this car has lived its whole life in maryland within 50 miles of the dealer it was purchased from! This has to be the only porsche in existence that can make that claim! The original window sticker ( see photo ) shows a purchase price of $ 6,798.30 and options of a 5 speed trans, bumperettes, 911s instruments, and antenna and speaker. She must have paid sticker price because the temporary tag registration shows a purchase price of $7176.24 ( 4% sales tax in md. In 1971 ). Mrs. Ernst's car had 19 miles on it when delivered and the last stamp in the maintenance record is at 19,510 miles on 5/24/73. She continued to drive the car but switched to ralphs auto service ( a porsche specialist in baltimore) for oil changes and repairs. I have a receipt for 4 new michelin tires in 1982 but the mileage was not recorded, those tires are still mounted on the original chrome steel wheels with hubcaps that will also go with this car, they all have correct date codes. For unknown reasons, carole ernst stopped driving her car on 5/12/87 after 96,209 miles, I have the receipt she received after cancelling her registration and turning in her tags to the state of maryland. After sitting in her garage for 10 years I purchased the car. It was in great shape but the paint was ruined from something that spilled on the top, and hood. A repaint in original code 1818 Albert blue was done in 1998 and I also replaced the tan carpet and front seat upholstery because of mold and dry rot. The dash is original and has one crack in the middle where all 911's do. This color combination is not seen often and is beautiful and rare. This car has never been in an accident all panels and glass are original including the floor and front trunk battery area, the plated trim is excellent no pits or corrosion.The shell stickers on the air cleaner and the gold labels on the rear lid latch panel are original!! Not reproduction ( look at the photos ). The engine insulation is original and intact, the engine bay is painted black over the original albert blue as some shows through as the porsche workers applied it. I would describe the condition as stunning. I have gone over all mechanical aspects of this car. The 2.2 litre engine runs strong and smooth. It has good compression, rebuilt zenith carbs, and has had a complete tune. All brakes are new including the master cylinder. The chassis is as it left the porsche factory, not overdone with cadmium plating and paint. The wheels on the car now are repro 15 x 6 with michelin tires, the original chrome steel wheels and hubcaps come with the car. The car started out as a secondary vehicle for a retired gentleman who spent his summers in Florida. This car was stored for half it's life in a Florida garage. Now it lives in Southern California where it's covered and garaged. It currently runs about once a week. There is not an ounce of rust or corrosion anywhere on the body, engine or frame. Has never seen a snow flake. Exterior: -This specific vehicle was fully disassembled and every panel painted separately off the vehicle. It is finished in BMW's 'Brilliant White'. This was a 9 stage paint job that shows as if it was a new car. Not a single ding or even as small as a rock chip. The car is flawless. -Being that 1992 3000GT's did not have a glass roof option, a secondary 1994 3000GT was purchased for the roof swap. The entire roof from the 1994 was graphed onto the 1992 vehicle for a flawless fit. To complete the 2nd generation body swap, the headlight buckets and radiator support was swapped along with the bumpers, side skirts and hood. -Every single bolt, nut and screw that was removed from the car was replaced with brand new stainless steel hardware. -Headlights are 4500K HID. Interior: -The seats were finished in full leather, front and back of seats. The front seating surface is wrapped in a natural brown hide and the backs of the seats are a deep black leather. Then tied together with a white contrasting double stitch. -Above is a custom suede headliner in a matching brown color with black suede up the two pillars. -Interior pieces finished in a rich piano black. -Has a matching orange lit rear view mirror with compass and homelink. -Navigation and Bluetooth is used by the Clarion nx604 head unit with working steering wheel controls and Sony rear view camera. -Shifter unit is the 3SX ball bearing short throw. Engine and Exhaust: -Under the hood are NO SPEED MODIFICATIONS. This car is bone stock and has been used as a cruiser, and in no way raced at any point in it's life. -The lifters were replaced to 1999 5mm VR4 lifters so that the famous 1st generation lifter tick is not present. -For exhaust there is a custom built Borla system with 1 high flow cat and a stainless steel downpipe. Passes the strict CA emissions. The welds are impeccable. -Oil used is fully synthetic Shell Oil. -Every scheduled maintenance item has been done as it should. All new rubber, belts and timing belt were replaced at a local Mitsubishi dealer. -In case there's anybody out there that is not familiar with these cars. They have a standard Twin Turbo 300HP engine, All Wheel Drive and 4 Wheel Steering. Wheels, Tires and Brakes -Wheels on all 4 corners are are 19X8.5 Avant Garde M590's in satin silver with a clear coated machined face wrapped in 245/35 Kumho Ecsta SPT. -Rotors are crossed drilled and slotted and pads are ceramic. Suspension: -The struts are brand new OEM Mitsubishi ECS (Electronically Controlled Struts). They work exactly as they should when new. You can switch from a smooth touring mode to sport mode and stiffen the vehicle up. -Springs are TEIN H Springs. This car is a one of a kind gem showing impeccable taste and extraordinary craftsmanship built by a team that is top's in their craft. Paint is BMW's 'Brilliant White', also known as 'Brilliant Weiss'. Paint code: U21. It's a stunning color in person.
