See the likes of Tracey Emin, Gavin Turk, Mat Collishaw and James Unsworth selling their artwork for knockdown prices ranging from £50 to £800, out the back of their (Vauxhall) car boots. The fair takes place this year at Folkestone, Kent, not far from where Emin grew up as a child. In anticipation of the event, she shares her favourite items that she is selling, along with her all time greatest car boot finds. Item for sale #1 — Egg Lady "The Egg Ladies were originally made as an Easter special for Emin International. Essentially they are tiny handmade drawings on papier maché eggs and they are some of my favourite things."Lilac Legs by Tracey Emin #2 — Lilac Legs "This is a very small edition for me and will be sold through my gallery in New York for considerably more than £5. By creating the raffle it gives everybody the chance to own one and raffles are really good fun at the Vauxhall Art Car Boot Fair. The Lilac Legs embroidery is taken from a work I made when I represented Britain at the 52nd Venice Biennale."Rosette by Tracey Emin #3 — Rosette "I made my first rosette, actually for a horse, at the Thirsk Races in Yorkshire 11 years ago. The winner proudly said she would hang it up in the stables alongside all her other trophies much to my gallerist, Jay Jopling's shock! The rosette being raffled is an individual piece. They sit on my table in my apartment in New York, as though gently sleeping, waiting to be born." 2. A statue of Psyche and Amor, bought in France. "This particular car boot sale has really, really useless things from odd shoes to defunct electrical goods. On finding my little statue it felt like I had found gold. The next day, strangely enough, I received a postcard from a very close friend of the same statue. It was only then that I realised my loving angel was minus its wings, but it still sits on my mantelpiece along with my friend's postcard." 3.  Lloyd Loom furniture, bought in Spitalfields. "From my local flea market, I collect Lloyd Loom furniture and spray it gold to put on my studio roof." 4. Tiny animals. "I have a vast collection of tiny animals, usually no bigger than an inch, ranging from miniature elephants to mice and cute kittens. I have thousands of these things and have plans to build a wonder cabinet to put them in, which will be floor to ceiling on one entire wall." 5. Vintage erotic photographs. "They are my favourite thing to collect, what I look for every place I go. I am very particular about them as I try to make sure that everyone has the same thing in common — the golden section. This is something that is really difficult to explain to the men that have biscuit tins full of porn in the back of their cars. Forty-one cars have been be flagged off this morning at Silver Springs Hotel and headed to Matugga for the two competitive sections. Ronald Ssebuguzi, the current NRC leader,  will open the route for the 16th edition. Ssebuguzi's biggest worry is the recent rainy weather. "I hope it doesn't rain again in the next 24 hours," he said. Police commissioner in charge of traffic and road safety Stephen Kasiima says drivers as well as fans must observe traffic rules during the even. Umar Daudi and navigator Hamza Katende lost control of their car and knocked dead two children during the Southern Motor Club National Rally Championship last month. Vintage viewing points at Star City, Matugga and Sanga (six sections) have been earmarked and you – the fan – more than anyone else hold the first card to safety. The rally is expected to draw mammoth crowds in routes seeing how it is the biggest and most popular on the local calendar is the sixth round on the ARC calendar. They reveal a conservatively styled supermini in the vein of a shrunken Octavia with a dash more sophistication than today’s workaday hatch. The new, third-generation Fabia sticks with the crisp, defined surfacing that has come to represent Skoda’s ascetic formality. It’s a no-nonsense design for a straightforward, family-friendly, good-value car brand, it seems at first glance. Skoda Fabia: the specs, details Not a huge amount of technical information has been announced ahead of the Skoda Fabia’s Paris 2014 motor show debut. But Skoda has issued an interview with head designer Jozef Kaban, who claims the Fabia is ‘a sportier vehicle… The result is a young, fresh and modern compact car that sets new standards in its segment.’ Kaban says the new 2015 Fabia draws heavily on the VisionC concept car, which was designed to roll out a new look for the new generation of Skodas. ‘Skoda is able to combine great functionality with an expressive, emotional and more sharply defined design. This new design direction is the next step in the development of our brand and the new Skoda Fabia is the first model to communicate this design language. Drawing on elements of the Skoda VisionC design study, the Fabia is more expressive, more dynamic and sportier.’ Sportier? Surely Skodas shouldn’t be sporty! Our thoughts exactly. But Kaban is adamant that Skoda needs to break out of its budget family space roots and inject more emotion to what has become a functional brand. ‘Skoda has made a name for itself by producing cars with great functionality and above-average interior space,’ said the designer. ‘We sense that now is the right time to create a stronger connection between the functionality of our cars and an expressive and emotional design.’ Yet despite these sportier overtones, Skoda promises to uphold its core values. The boot is the biggest in the supermini class at around 330 litres, claims Skoda, and the new Fabia’s cabin is wider and longer than before. The whole car is 90mm wider The cabin has MirrorLink technology, so the onboard computer screen can mimic your smartphone’s and the engines are promised to be up to 17% more efficient. The cleanest will top 90mpg and promise CO2 emissions of just 80g/km. And Skoda is again offering personalisation aplenty: there are 15 paint colours to choose from and you can choose contrasting hues for the roof and door mirrors. Designed in Europe and built in Turkey, this is a Europe-focused supermini and benefits from a new, pumped-up platform designed to close the gap between the i20 and class leaders such as the Ford Fiesta and VW Polo. Hyundai is claiming one of the most spacious cabins in the B-segment, thanks to a wheelbase stretched by 45mm â€" a couple of inches longer than before. The distance between the two axles is now 2750mm. Result? The ‘passenger compartment can comfortably seat five adults,’ claims Hyundai. ‘Combined front and rear legroom is best in class at 1892 mm. Trunk capacity is also segment-leading: 326 litres when the rear seats are upright.’ Sounds roomy to us. A Polo can pack only 280 litres in its loadbay… Hyundai i20 (2014): more specs, details A panoramic sunroof is a class first in the supermini segment, claims Hyundai. It reflects lashings of gadgets and larger-car features available on the i20, including front and rear LED lights and a rear-view camera. Although we have to despair if supermini owners can’t reverse safely without a TV screen to assist… Hyundai cites its new design language, dubbed Fluidic Sculpture 2.0, as the inspiration for the i20’s inoffensive, quietly smart looks. Now that former Kia design chief Peter Schreyer is leading Hyundai’s wardrobe department, we’re seeing signs of a more confident stylistic palette, we’d say. The new car was designed in the Koreans’ styling studio in Russelsheim, Germany. Particularly noteworthy is the gloss black C-pillar, which wraps around the rear of the car like a Mini’s â€" to help create the impression of a floating roof. Why the new Hyundai i20 is a giant baby At 4035mm long, the new Hyundai i20 bursts through the four metre barrier â€" once the threshold beyond which no supermini could pass. It’s 66mm longer than a Fiesta, for goodness’ sake. This growth spurt helps explain why the newest Hyundai i20 is claimed to be so roomy. It also puts more clear water between it and the i10 city car, traditionally Hyundai’s biggest selling car in the UK.

Compare this 1/2000 edition with the 79 TATA Pace car (7,500) and the 81 TTA Pace Car (5,700)...this one is the one to have. This is an amazing Land Cruiser that looks, runs and drives like new. Lived since day one in one of the driest states in the union, Wyoming. Garaged every day of its life.Original 4.2 liter 2F gasoline motor, mated to the 4 speed manual transmission, with split transfer case. 2H, 4H, & 4L. Works flawlessly, but rarely off road.Driven an average of 2500 miles per year. It has 73,000 original miles and counting as I drive it fishing to the rivers of northern Wyoming and southern Montana. Original interior in absolute unbelievable condition. The seats are like brand new. Notice the factory sear belt sticker on the rear wheel well material. In perfect condition, and amazing to see. No fade, no ware. Dash is excellent. Plastic center tray is like new. Wheel well material is bright and unscarred. Carpet is in very good condition. No stains or tears.New Old Man Emu Suspension was just added as the result of 28 years of weight on the stock OEM leaf springs and shocks. An OME steering stabilizer was also added to give this '86 FJ60 an amazing ride. Michelin Radial 31X10.50X15 tires on original Toyota 5 oval Crome 15' Rims. New vacuum hoses, hoses, valve adjustment, tune up kit that includes everything from plugs to wires, gas filter etc, was just added. Transmission input and out put seals were replaced. Oil pan gasket was replaced, as was the thermostat gasket and housing gasket. All OEM parts.Cruise Control vacuum lines replaced and works perfectly. Yes, the Land Cruiser has factory installed cruise.Factory Roof Rack is in excellent condition as are all the windows and glass.Mechanically A+; no issues, needs nothing. All electrical, gauges, lights, dome, etc work as they should.Completely Rust Free Never in an Accident I have plenty of rust free frame photos I can forward to interested parties. The Ken Kars dealer sticker is still on the back of the Land Cruiser over the original yet unbelievably bright and shinny Toyota paint. If you look closely you also see the original Jack and Tool Kit tucked nicely where it belongs. This car has been garage kept and driven very little since its completion and it still shows extremely well! This is what I would consider to be a very nice above driver quality Chevy ll.This car is extremely solid and shows NO signs of rust! It has been chopped and gets attention everywhere it goes. The paint/body on this deuce is very straight and all body lines look good. The paint is very slick and shows a deep reflection and a show room shine. It has been done approx. 7 years it still shows extremely well but is not entirely flawless. It has what I would consider to be normal age/wear. Keeping in mind you can pic a new cars paint job. I would rate the paint about an 8 on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being perfect. It is finished with all new chrome and tinted glass and the 2 inch steel cowl hoods really sets it off. It rides on polished 15 inch torque thrust wheels.The bottom of this car is nicely detailed through out and presents itself extremely well with NO signs of rust as well. The drive train in this car is well built. It has a professionally built RHS small block mated to a 400 automatic transmission and a big 10 bolt rear, aluminized exhaust, headers, aluminum intake, 4 barrel carb, electronic ignition, aluminum radiator etc etc. It has disc brakes on the front tci front end rack and pinion steering. It rides and drives excellent!The custom interior is comfortable and tastefully done with custom ordered seats simulated leather, billet steering wheel, aftermarket gauges, Lokar shifter etc. This car is also equipped with electric door releases.
